With regenerative pasture management practices in place, our mission is simple; we aim to produce high-quality pastured beef while being responsible stewards of our land so that we can continue to be productive for generations to come.

We let cows be cows. Spending all day on thick, natural, fresh grass pastures is how cows thrive, so that's how they spend their time on Prater Farms. Industrial beef is raised in ways designed to make beef cheap; they are caged, forced to spend all day standing shoulder to shoulder in trampled mud and dust, while being stuffed with unnatural grain products to artificially fatten them up. On our farm, we lessen the carrying capacity to far below industry norms, allowing grazing diets to naturally fatten the herd over time. Our animals experience zero unnatural stressors and don't need harmful vaccines or antibiotics to keep them from getting sick. What we're left with is some of the most naturally high-quality Black Angus beef products you'll find anywhere. The best part; it's from right here in Rome, Ga.
